Bayonets of the Civil War

All weapons listed on this webpage are strictly manufactured before 1898, and are considered unsafe for actual use.  These are antique collectible weapons of the Civil War (most are pre 1865, unless I state otherwise) and actual firing of these weapons is not recommended for any purpose whatsoever!  Because these are all "pre 1898" weapons, no licenses are required for ownership, but common sense and good judgment are real good things to have.

W0589.jpg (8268 bytes) W0589B.jpg (12331 bytes) W0589C.jpg (16527 bytes)
Exactly why this bayonet is attributed to the Zouaves is a mystery, but is a popular style of the saber bayonet. Scabbard is leather with brass mountings. Bayonet bears several marks, "BH" on the handle is most prominent, "C" appears twice on the guard, and "L" on the ricasso. Blade is clean, scabbard is complete, missing only the round hanger knob.
Blade length 20 inches
Ref: Jantzen notebook pg 208, item 2 Sold!
