Weapons of the Civil War

All weapons listed on this webpage are strictly manufactured before 1898, and are considered unsafe for actual use.  These are antique collectible weapons of the Civil War (most are pre 1865, unless I state otherwise) and actual firing of these weapons is not recommended for any purpose whatsoever!  Because these are all "pre 1898" weapons, no licenses are required for ownership, but common sense and good judgment are real good things to have.

This was one of the most popular of the Civil War revolvers, it was a percussion fired six shooter, .36 caliber round barrel for the Navy. Top of barrel is marked "ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW YORK US AMERICA" Left frame is marked "COLTS / PATENT" , Cylinder is marked "COLTS PATENT No "4000" (last four digits of serial number)", and a naval scene (which is usually very weak) Matching serial number "134000" appears six times, including the cylinder (cylinder mark is weak) and the wedge, production estimated early 1863. .36 cal six shot percussion revolver, octagon barrel, loading lever, three screws, brass guard and back strap, iron mechanics, walnut grips.
Metal shows light rust pleasing patina minor pitting, wood grips clean, mechanics fully functional, desirable wartime example.
Barrel length 7.5inches.
