Weapons of the Civil War

All weapons listed on this webpage are strictly manufactured before 1898, and are considered unsafe for actual use.  These are antique collectible weapons of the Civil War (most are pre 1865, unless I state otherwise) and actual firing of these weapons is not recommended for any purpose whatsoever!  Because these are all "pre 1898" weapons, no licenses are required for ownership, but common sense and good judgment are real good things to have.

This was the most popular of the Civil War revolver, it was a percussion fired six shooter, .44 caliber round barrel for the Army. Top of barrel is marked "ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW YORK US AMERICA". Left frame is marked "COLTS / PATENT". Cylinder is marked "COLTS PATENT "5957" (last four digits of serial number) / PAT SEPT 10TH 1850", and a scene (which is usually very weak) Trigger guard is marked "44 CAL". Inspector marks "D" appear on the trigger guard, "HH" and "W" on the barrel, cartouche on both grips, and "H" and "W" on the cylinder. Matching serial number "115957" appears five times including the cylinder wedge has a different number which is not unusual, production 1863. .44 cal six shot percussion revolver, round barrel, loading lever, three screws, brass guard and back strap, iron mechanics, walnut grips.
Revolver mechanics fully functional, metal is clean has been refinished, walnut grips intact, attractive example. Barrel length 8in..
