Weapons of the Civil War

All weapons listed on this webpage are strictly manufactured before 1898, and are considered unsafe for actual use.  These are antique collectible weapons of the Civil War (most are pre 1865, unless I state otherwise) and actual firing of these weapons is not recommended for any purpose whatsoever!  Because these are all "pre 1898" weapons, no licenses are required for ownership, but common sense and good judgment are real good things to have.

The model 1840 saber was a relatively heavy cavalry saber and was called the "wrist breaker".  Steel scabbard with iron mountings.  
Ricasso marked with a rooster.  
Gebruder Weyersberg was a Prussian maker, often making blades for American retailers, this one does not bear a retailer's name.  
Iron scabbard with iron mountings.  
The grip has leather wrap and wire intact, leather washer intact, handle is intact but loose with a wiggle, clean blade, scabbard intact with light rust.
