Originals are cast, all are rare and there are several variants

Editor note:  This was taken from a webpage, savage station.com.  This seller, Ric Savage, his real name is Frank Huguelet, says he  withdrew it from his webpage and returned it to its source.  At this point I do not know who made this buckle.  Hanover Brass denies being the maker and it is not shown on civilwarfakes.com, so at this point the origin is listed as unknown.  It is doubtful that this piece can be shown to be authentic.
