Tongue Keeper 45.7mm
Wreath keeper 44.7mm
Wreath height 43.8mm

The following comment was submitted by Gary Williams, maker of this plate:
"This is the buckle I sand blast the GW off the back of the tongue so you can see what a sand blaster does.  The back of the wreath is the thing to look for.  I cast it solid where the original is hollow.  rare buckle"

Editor note: Plate was obtained directly from Hanover Brass. The original wreath has a gutter, this wreath is cast with a flat back.  This buckle is extremely rare as noted so most examples seen will be this reproduction.  "GW" is lightly stamped onto the back of the tongue and in the well of the wreath, but a faker can easily remove this or fill it with dirt. Because the tongue is closer to the original piece than the wreath, this buckle will often be seen tongue only.
