Fakes, reproductions, replicas, Artillery bucket
Metal artillery buckets were used as "sponge" bucket, open top to carry water to cool the cannon and douse any burning between firings, or "tar" bucket, which was lubricant to grease the bore. Metal buckets are also commonly made for farmers in the Pakistan and India, which is where most of the bogus buckets are coming from.
