Bullets of the Civil War

Most bullets listed have been excavated from Civil War sites. Illustrations are representative of the bullets offered, multiple quantities are offered for most patterns. Bullets are very old and have generally been excavated, there may be minor dings and scratches. I will attempt to describe major flaws.
Please order by "M&M" number, McKee & Mason, "Civil War Projectiles II, Small Arms & Field Artillery with supplement". I have also cross reference "T&T" numbers, which is Thomas & Thomas, "Handbook of Civil War Bullets & Cartridges".

Whitworth Cylindrical .45 cal
Cone cavity no grooves, fired example shows hex pattern from rifling. These bullets were
actually cylindrical, then were forced into the hex shaped barrel. The guns were slow to
load because the muzzle loading required considerable pressure.
