Hammond, Turner & Bates

Hammond Turner & Bates was a military goods supplier operating out of Manchester and Birmingham England.  They produced a number of different patterns of buttons for the Confederacy.  All of their buttons have a very flat back, it is unusual for the lack of contours.

Most information on this page is from Tice's book, Dating Buttons..., the pictures are generally from buttons that I have handled.
