Mississippi oval belt plate
Construction is stamped brass, solder filled, stud hooks
Rim damage, hooks intact.
Recovered: from Mill Creek Gap, near Dalton GA, from the collection of Charles
Harris.
Plate measures 55mm X 85mm (approx due to bends)

Mississippi sword belt plate
Construction is solid cast brass, then pressed into a die to
sharpen,
heavy tongue is brazed.
Beautiful example, original bends, bench number "40" brazed hook
intact.
Recovery is not known, from the Lewis Leigh collection.
Plate measures 51.3mm (45.8mm inside) X 86mm (with curve) (89mm w/o).

Mississippi sword belt plate

Construction is solid cast brass, then pressed into a die to
sharpen, heavy tongue is brazed. Attractive example, minor bend is straightened,
beautiful deep green patina, bench mark "54"
