Two part English "Snake" buckle
These imported plates could be used by either side, but most are
attributed to Confederate use. The "snake" head looks more like a bird
with a beak, but this artistic liberty.
Snake tongue was found by Harry Ridgeway, Third Battle of Winchester. The is a
match from somewhere else.
Keepers measure 61mm
